I thought the exercise was a little confusing, I guess I expected it to be spelled out in a step by step fashion that even this old guy could follow. There are too many assumptions. But after 2or 3 trys, i got it done, now if I can only figure out this Avatar thing and how to accept comments...

Any suggestions for making it less confusing?

I think part of the problem is trying to read those sideways screwed up letters, ie "cardis" below. I've had to do them 2 or 3 times before it goes.

I'm not having much luck with Rechresmedreunion blog either, others cannot get it loaded and therefore cannot comment on it or add info.

My blog: http://paraLauren.blogspot.com
I was able to get a blog set up from my home computer. I had trouble at school because it said I had to enable javascript and cookies.

It was fun setting things up, yet at the same time hard to decide how much and what to add to my profile. I finally decided that I can just add stuff later as it suits my fancy.

It took me awhile to discover that I can click on the icon (orange B) in the upper left corner by my blog title to return to the screen I can work from.

I wasted a lot of time making an avatar, but it was fun. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted, a kayak or canoe, but the river background will do. When adding the avatar to my blog, under Layout, I had to click on "add a gadget", not "add a page element", then scroll way down to find HTML code.

Thanks to all of you for helping me with my PGP this year. I know that it has really been a learning experience for me. Hopefully, all of you learned something new, too. I admire all of you for trying these new ideas and social aspects of Web 2.0.
